What to bring to your Photo Session:

What are the best things to wear for a boudoir photo shoot?

  • Bring a warm robe to walk around in between shooting!

  • Any lingerie that fits closely to the body is fabulous! Corsets, bustiers, body stockings, chemises, and matching bra and panty sets are always stunning choices.

  • Make sure your breasts have the support they need. If you want to give your girls a fuller look, you can place silicone bra inserts inside of your bra. If you want to leave more to the imagination and conceal your nipples under sheer and see-through lingerie pieces, try nipple silicone pads (inserts and nipple pads are entirely optional.)

  • Bring a black and nude bra that provides solid support. If you need extra support, wear a bra under your lingerie — the bra will photograph like it’s part of the lingerie.

  • Bring three to four different lingerie outfits to your photo shoot session with us– it’s better to bring “too many” outfits than not enough. The more outfits you have, the more ways we can match things up with our photography background sets and give you a variety of different looks.

Lengthen your legs with thigh-high stockings

  • Look for thigh-high stockings without the silicone strip – the strips never fit smoothly and create muffin-top thighs on all women.

  • Black and white thigh high stockings look amazing in photographs. Other colors (like nude or red) do not. If you plan to wear thigh high stockings, bring black or white only.

  • Your thigh highs should be the same color as your lingerie outfit.

  • What not to wear? Nude thigh highs don’t photograph well because the color doesn’t separate from your skin tone. All stockings (especially fishnet) should be worn with closed toed heels.

  • Garter belts always look feminine and classy!

Bring some bling!

  • Jewelry is an easy (and completely optional) way to add extra zing to your sexy look.

  • Your boudoir photo shoot is a great time to wear body jewelry — especially if you’d like nude or semi-nude photos. Body jewelry adds a layer of sexiness to back and booty shots, too.

Playful props are fun, too!

  • Time to express your creative side! Props (which are also optional) offer a sassy personal touch. Ideas include:

  • Hats: Add some mystery to your sexy look! You can wear your partner’s fedora, rock a fun beret, or even wear a baseball hat.

  • Bridal Props: Veils, wedding shoes and wedding day accessories add a regal touch.

  • Sports Gear: Balls, bats, hockey sticks, surfboards, roller skates, snowboards, and helmets can be matched with most bra and panty sets.

  • Musical Instruments: Bring your favorite musical instrument, like a guitar, flute – even a cello! Not musically inclined? Headphones and vinyl records make great props

  • Perfume Bottles: Want your boudoir photoshoot to have a sensual, artistic spin? Bring a pretty perfume bottle so we can focus on your feminine curves close-up.

Sexy shoes make for stunning boudoir photographs

  • A higher heel works best, as they lengthen your legs and give your feet a gorgeous arch and pointed toe.

  • Sexy boots (optional) are fun, too. High leather or suede-heeled boots are always stunning statements, adding extra personality and variety. Cowboy boots are fun and flirty.

  • Not sure which shoes to bring? We have an excellent selection of high heels available in sizes 8-11 and different colors for you to use. But, don’t hesitate to bring your own if you have some that you love.

Not using our hair and makeup stylist?

  • Face powder is a must. In-studio camera lighting is different from natural light, and your skin will naturally become oily throughout the day. For best results, have some powder on hand so you can touch up your face during your photo shoot.

  • Bring your favorite lipstick!

Keep it loose

  • Wear loose clothing to your photo shoot, this prevents bra strap, underwear, sock and pant lines on your body. Remember that you’ll be sitting in your car and the makeup chair for a while, so think flowy and mark-free.

Create a Boudoir Photoshoot Pinterest Board

  • Pinterest is a great place to get inspired! Before your shoot, create a board with your favorite lingerie looks, accessories and props.

  • Show your stylist what you love. A Pinterest board filled with your favorite looks will help your stylist give you the exact look you want.

  • See a pose you love? Share it with your photographer on the day of your shoot.
